We are the leading provider of Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) compliance management solutions for utility and community scale project developers and tax credit buyers.  

Our software platform and compliance management services team enable solar, energy storage, wind, and other clean energy developers to manage prevailing wage and apprenticeship, domestic content, and other clean energy tax incentive compliance, maximize the value of their tax credits, and protect tax equity investors and corporate tax credit buyers from IRS recapture audit risk.  

We are building an incredible company and are seeking a Chief Operating Officer to accelerate our market leadership and operational growth.  

The Chief Operating Officer will be a partner with the CEO, and will be responsible for the following:

  1. Create and execute operating plans to achieve our growth objectives:
    1. Ensure we successfully scale our project compliance management operations, maximize margins, and ensure client success.
    2. Build and lead our project compliance management team to successfully execute compliance management projects with our community and utility-scale clean energy project development clients, project EPCs, contractors and suppliers.
    3. Maximize efficiency and scalability of project compliance management team by working with product management and engineering to develop compliance automation software functionality.
  2. As the company’s senior project executive:
    1. Provide executive sponsorship for utility-scale client compliance projects.
    2. Participate in project meetings as required.
    3. Support the project compliance managers as required.
    4. Lead escalation with client, EPC, contractors, subs or suppliers as necessary.
  3. Support sales and business development teams to grow our market share:
    1. Support sales team with utility-scale potential client sales opportunities including creating and presenting client project execution plans.
    2. Lead company client commercial agreement negotiations for utility scale clients.
    3. Provide support to strategic partners as required.
  4. As member of senior executive team:
    1. Provide guidance and support to CEO and rest of executive team.
    2. Develop budgets 
    3. Review commercial agreements to protect company and support strategic client and partner  negotiations
    4. Lead and manage IT and HR functions and take on additional functional areas, projects and duties as required as the company scales.
    5. Work with potential investors or corporate partners as required. 
Candidate qualification
  • This senior executive should have 10+ years of increasing business responsibility with a minimum of 5 years as a senior executive as a director or VP Operations, COO, or equivalent.
  • Clean energy industry construction project management experience required.
  • Experience with construction or project management or other related software enterprise required.
  • Candidates with experience working in software industry strongly desired.
  • Experience in successfully building and leading distributed team required.
  • Experience with prevailing wage and/or Davis Bacon payroll compliance highly desired.
  • Experience in very rapidly scaling companies strongly desired.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, team building and leadership skills.
  • High IQ and EQ.
  • Ability to roll up sleeves and execute.
  • Enthusiastic, gets a lot done, no prima-donnas.
This is a full-time, very hands-on startup executive role.  

The Chief Growth Officer will receive a highly attractive compensation package with base salary, benefits, annual bonus plan based on attainment of objectives, and a substantial stock option plan.  

The company is fully distributed so the candidate can be based anywhere in the US, although candidates in the greater Denver and greater Houston area would be a benefit.
